In Vantage Master Japan though, she can boost the stats of other units which can change the tide of battle in an instant...
Anyway, just trying to crank some stuff out before the semester starts again. Her name in VM3 is now "Amanoikusa" literally means "天の戦" in Japanese (translated as 天軍 on the official website's kanji as well as the Traditional Chinese version)... which pretty much means "Warrior of the Sky".
Why so much background about a name? Well, I had a really time finding out information about her including her actual name until I realized that after taking a semester of Japanese in college I can use Japanese to search the official Falcom website... and because I was pretty proud of myself there's the story.
[link] - from the official site, if you're interested. (Nothing in English, as far as I know. But the link to her info is on the bottom right of the list, second to last.)
Her left hand seems quite odd to me, but I'm having a hard time fixing it. Well I guess the entire pose could use some work but since I drew most of the body on one layer (stupid mistake, don't imitate) it's tough to change. Hooray for the grass brush in Photoshop, the background would have been an absolute pain without it.
I also made wallpaper versions of this just for the hell of it (doesn't take that long to draw the background), but since I don't really feel like cluttering my gallery with what essentially is the same thing, I'll post it only if people show interest.
That's wonderful !! Wow the illusion of movement and wind in this picture is great. I love your colouring. It almost resembles traditional paint, really impressive ! I love the pose and the colour scheme of the picture. I love every single little detail that you've included in this as well. Everything is great

AWESOME. I love the way you did her face, it looks great. The problem I see with the left arm is that it's a bit small, just make it a tad bigger.
Also, the glove doesn't quite line up with the rest of the arm, it's just a bit crooked. The hand could also be bigger, but just a smidge.
The grass looks pretty good, although the closer it gets to the foreground the more you can tell it was made with a preset brush, you should find a way to offset that. (I have no idea how, but you should find one. XP)
How'd you make the trees? They look sweet! But not quite as sweet as the sky, which is truly amazing. Nice work here, have to fav.

A collection of the most beautiful and amazing square photographs I found among my favourites. Please have a look and give these artists the attention they deserve!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
